Chiropractic Care FAQs
Q: What types of conditions do chiropractors treat?
A: We commonly help with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and joint stiffness. Chiropractic care also improves posture and overall mobility.
Q: What should I expect on my first chiropractic visit?
A: We always start off with a Complimentary Consultation to make sure that you are a good fit for the care that we deliver in our office. If you are, then me move on to a thorough evaluation, explanation of your condition, treatment recommendations and treatment if appropriate.
Q: Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
A: Most patients find adjustments relieving, not painful. You might feel light pressure or hear a gentle pop as joints release tension.
Q: How many visits will I need?
A: Everyone’s body is different. Some feel improvement after one or two visits, while chronic issues may need a short care plan for best results.
Shockwave Therapy FAQs
Q: What is shockwave therapy?
A: Shockwave therapy (A.K.A. Acoustic Wave Therapy) uses sound wave energy to stimulate healing in injured tendons, ligaments, and joints. It’s non-invasive and drug-free.
Q: What conditions can it treat?
A: Common uses include plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, shoulder tendinitis, chronic hip pain, chronic knee pain, Achilles tendinopathy, and chronic joint pain.
Q: How many treatments are needed?
A: Most people need 4–8 sessions spaced one week apart for lasting results.
Q: Is shockwave therapy painful?
A: You may feel mild discomfort during treatment, but it’s very brief and well tolerated. No downtime is required afterward.
Q: Is shockwave therapy safe?
A: Yes. It’s FDA-cleared and supported by extensive research for musculoskeletal pain.
Functional Health FAQs
Q: What is functional Health?
A: Functional health looks at the root cause of chronic symptoms—focusing on hormones, metabolism, gut health, inflammation, and lifestyle factors. At Thrive, we use a broad panel of lab testing to determine your deficiencies and toxicities so that we can have a more complete understanding of what is going on inside your body.
Q: What can functional health help with?
A: We help patients with fatigue, weight gain, hormone imbalance, thyroid issues, gut problems, and blood sugar concerns.
Q: Do you offer lab testing?
A: Yes. We use advanced lab testing to identify hidden imbalances in hormones, blood sugar, inflammation, and nutrients.
Q: Is this covered by insurance?
A: Most functional health testing and consultations are not covered, but we keep our programs affordable and HSA/FSA eligible.
Massage Therapy FAQs
Q: What types of massage do you offer?
A: Our licensed massage therapist provides therapeutic, deep tissue, relaxation, and sports massage.
Q: How long are sessions?
A: You can choose 25 or 50-minute sessions.
Q: Can massage be part of a chiropractic plan?
A: Absolutely. Many patients combine massage with chiropractic and shockwave for faster recovery.
Other Common Questions
Q: Do you treat athletes or active adults?
A: Yes! We specialize in sports injuries and performance recovery for runners, cyclists, golfers and active adults.
Q: What’s the cost for new patient visits?
A: We offer a Complimentary Pain Relief Consultation. If we decide that you are a candidate for care, we can usually perform an evaluation and treatment on the first visit, in which case the fee is $97.
Q: Do you have any wellness programs or memberships?
A: Yes. Ask about our Thrive Health Membership for ongoing chiropractic and wellness care.
Q: How much is an office visit
A: Because we offer so many types of services and everyone is different, it is hard to give an exact answer without a bit more information. For Chiropractic, Acoustic wave and Functional Health services, we start with a free consultation. That way, we will know if we can help you, and what would be recommended to help you get the results you are looking for. After we perform the free consultation, we can make a recommendation and proceed to the exam and treatment for Chiropractic and Shockwave or the recommended lab testing if needed for functional health. If don't believe we are the best fit to help you, we will be honest about that and try to recommend someone to help. You will not be charged for that. If we believe we can help, we will outline what that looks like and asked before we proceed with a paid exam and treatment. There is no obligation for the free consultation.
Q: Is a free consultation really free?
A: Yes. We do this to avoid charging you if we can not help you or if what we offer is not what you are looking for. If we are able to help and you decide to proceed, you will be offered a paid exam and treatment. It will be clear and there is no obligation to move forward if you do not wish to receive an exam or treatment.
